The exterior’s parametric geometry creates a visually rhythmic, crystalline surface that feels both organic and high-tech, expressive yet purposeful. SAHMRI’s open, elevated ground plane and porous public plaza blur boundaries between city life, research endeavour, and community engagement, inviting visitors into a welcoming, human-scaled landscape framed by airy atria, interconnecting bridges, and a spiralling staircase that fosters chance encounters and creative exchange. Inside, the building’s flexible, luminous interior spaces support ambitious scientific work, with wet and dry labs, collaborative hubs, and daylight-bathed write-up zones arranged for maximum efficiency and human comfort.
