Sligo, Ireland.These passage tombs served as burial sites and were constructed as stone passages that were then covered by a mound of stones (i.e. a cairn). The series of cairns at Carrowkeel were built in the 4th-millennium BC atop of the Bricklieve Mountains by the Neolithic inhabitants of Ireland.
